DESCRIPTION:The School of Health Sciences\, Health Campus\, Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) has taken the initiative to organize the PPSK ‘Science for School’ Program to foster interest in science among secondary school students. This program aims to instill a passion for science in students\, as well as to motivate them to choose health sciences as their field of study at the university level. This year\, the Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine Society of Malaysia (TESMA) has been invited to co-organize this program. The activities planned for this year’s program include demonstrations interspersed with brief explanations and lectures on science-related knowledge\, including tissue engineering and regenerative medicine: (a) Anatomy of the human system\, (b) The importance of stem cells in tissue engineering and regenerative medicine\, along with an introduction to TESMA\, (c) DNA extraction\, d.
